                               JESUS:THE GRACE OF GOD!

"For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people".
Titus 2:11

One of the most popular words in the Christendom today is Grace.

Many of us cannot go through a day without mentioning the word: Grace. We have come to the realization that on our own we can do nothing!

Meanwhile, who or what is this Grace?

After my last message (The Sky is Wide Enough), I beg your pardon; I meant to say after the last message Jesus used me to prepare, I decided to respond to some of the feedback I had received from people who were blessed and felt inspired by the word of God.

Then,I read through the content of the picture released, which says;
"The sky is wide enough and I am confident that by the Grace of God I will excel in the name of Jesus"

Then, God giggled at me! I inquired in my Spirit man and God said; it is tautology: this is an expression or phrase that says the same thing twice.

Then, I became very curious. As I was trying to unravel the repetition in the sentence or where I used one word twice, my Lord Jesus said; " ' Am I not the Grace of God!"

Soon after, the Spirit of God directed me to the the memory verse which say;

"For the Grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people".
Titus 2:11

Meaning,Jesus had appeared to make salvation available to all people.

Children of God, at that point I said to myself; "what do I know besides the stuffs that Jesus brings to my attention"? All Glory belongs to this Jesus. I take a bow once again!

Apostle Paul said;

"But by the Grace of God, I am what I am, and His Grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the Grace of God that is with me".
1 Corinthians15:10.

The book of Acts of Apostles gives us clear records of how Apostle Paul became a disciple of Jesus ,as a result of his encounter with our Lord Jesus on the way to Damascus. Acts 9:1-31

In other words, Apostle Paul recognized the fact that the presence of Jesus in him was what enabled him to accomplish all that he did though he was hard working.

Apparently, the word Grace in some bible verses was used to refer to our Lord Jesus while in some other cases Grace is used as the manifest power or enablement that makes one to be able to do things that your natural knowledge and strength wouldn't have offered you.

In most cases, if you remove the word Grace and substitute it with Jesus the sentence would still have delivered the intended revelation.

Many people today including believers are fond of making empty promises and planning their itinerary without including the phrase;

"By the Grace of God or by God's Grace"

You will hear people say stuffs like; "I will be in Dubai for vacation next week, from there to Texas then stop by in Dublin, there after I will see my family in Manchester then return to Nigeria".

Forgetting that some people made plans for an hour journey but they never lived to see the next hour there after.

When you leave "The Grace of God" out of your plan; you are simply saying you will be fine without Jesus!

The Disciples were in a boat and there was a turbulent wind, but Jesus Christ was sleeping in the same boat at that point in time.
Nonetheless, they knew they needed Jesus,so they woke him up.

For me; it shows that the Disciples recognized that Jesus is the Prince of peace and they needed him to stabilize the boat at that particular moment.

Jesus rebuked the wind; "Peace be still" Immediately, the wind behaved itself and was calm.
Mark 4:35-41

I remembered the Testimony of my Father in the Lord: Pastor E. A Adeboye. How he was on an aircraft some years back and there was turbulence that the plane began to shake and the Pilot informed them of the bad weather condition.

Then fear cane upon most people as they began to fidget. He went further; that the fellow next to him lost appetite all of a sudden.

However, Pastor Adeboye said he did not panic a bit, that he ate his food and also helped the fellow next to him to eat all his food too. He said though the man was looking at him somehow, but he was confident that the plane would not crash because he had committed the journey to God's hand and more importantly he knew the Grace of God (Jesus) goes everywhere with Him and that He as assured him of safety.

True to his assertion, the aircraft landed without any issue.

Jesus Christ is the Gift of God (John 3:16) to mankind in order to redeem us and save us from eternal damnation.

In another passage, Apostle Paul says;

"For by Grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast".
Ephesians 2:8&9.

Meaning, we do not have any power of our own except that deposited in us by Jesus.

It is often said that we now live in the dispensation of Grace, which was made possible by our Lord Jesus;

"For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace".
Romans 6:14.

Bible students know that the word: law is often connected to Moses who brought the Ten commandments from God, while the word: Grace, is by our Lord Jesus Christ.;

"For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ"
John 1:17.

However, Grace should not be taken for granted. The popular saying is that; "you give honour to whom honour is due"

How can you make plans without including the One that will enable you to actualize them.

Little wonder, Apostle Paul wrote;

"But he said to me; “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness...”
2 Corinthians 12:9.

When you fail to acknowledge the significance of the presence of God upon your life, it goes to show that you have opened up access for the devil to attack.

Brethren, never let down your guard.

"Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour".
1 Peter 5:8.

In conclusion, "I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the Ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God (Jesus).

In other words, I am nothing.I mean; I am a nobody without Jesus, but with Jesus: The Grace of God, I can do all things.

PRAYER : I will accomplish all things I set my heart to do through Christ Jesus who gives me strength.Phil 4:13.

                            THE SKY IS WIDE ENOUGH!

The bible says;

"Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves".
Philippians 2:3.

On the 11th of June 2019, while I was brushing my teeth in the morning, the Lord spoke to me clearly;

"The sky is wide enough!"

As I was ruminating on the significance of that sentence,the Spirit of God flashes this
popular saying;

"The sky is wide enough for all birds to fly without their wings touching".

In a bid to reconcile God's words and the popular saying in order to make a sense of what God was trying to tell me;

God brought to my remembrance how I came back home on vacation and I visited Abuja in the year 2009. Then my elder brother took me to a bakery that was producing the most sought after bread at that time.

God went further and asked me; how many of such bakeries have you patronized since that time?," Then, I began to recollect one after the other.

Soon after, the Lord said to me; "if many more bakeries have emerged after the first bakery you patronized, with some producing better bread, yet without clashing with one another; why can't members of My Body (The Church) serve according to the gifts that I have bestowed on each person without having any cause for conflict?

Then I remembered what Apostle Paul wrote;

"Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness".
Romans 12:6-8.

God gives out these gifts as He pleases and nobody can say, these are the criteria that He uses;

"All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and He distributes them to each one, just as He determines".
1 Cor 12:11

The question then is; why do we have so much division, hatred and strife within & among believers now?

The Spirit of God said to me specifically; ENVY is the bane of the Church now, unlike the days of the early Church.

Brothers and Sisters of the Gospel; I searched the Scripture and I discovered there was no record of envy, jealousy or hatred among the disciples, they all complemented one another for the common goal of spreading the Gospel of Jesus.

The present Church should emulate the disciples in our relationship with one another. Truly, the sky is wide enough for everyone of us to pick his or her space in line with the gifts of God upon you and excel without rancor in the work of the Ministry.

Although, some agents of darkness have penetrated the Church of God and they must be exposed and flushed out! Eph 5:11 .

Until the emergence of Paul, Simon Peter and all of the other disciples restricted their preaching to the Jews only.;

The bible says;
Meanwhile, the believers who had been scattered during the persecution after Stephen’s death traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch of Syria. They preached the word of God, but only to Jews." Acts 11:19.

However, The Game Changer of the disciples"; Paul, came on the scene and changed the narratives. Paul made a radical departure from the conservative style of the disciples, by extending the preaching of the Gospel to the Gentiles.

Paul actually acted on the words of

"This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel".
Acts 9:15.

Whenever anyone appears to have deviated from the Truth; which is the bible, such person can be corrected or rebuked in order to protect the sanctity of the Church;

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness".
1 Tim 3:16.

Every individual in the Church today should purge him/herself of any traces of envy, hatred and jealousy.

It reminds me of the Yoruba adage my Late Mother used to tell me;

"Adiye gagara koni fe je ki akuko o ko!
Meaning, the big chicken does not want the smaller one to crow".

The bible says;
"If you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth. This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice.
James 3:14-16.

Brethren, take a pause, reflect on these ☝bible verses and see why those issues have lingered on in your Church.

Our God is no respecter of persons. Acts 10: 34 He can decide to use a new or younger person more than the older ones just as He did with Apostle Paul. Jesus said:
"But many who are first will be last, and the last first".
Matthew 19:30.

The story of Eli and Samuel is also very instructive for the Christian leaders in this generation to emulate.

Eli was still the Priest when God had started speaking to Samuel. Eli, despite his position and age humbled himself before Samuel;

"What did the LORD tell you?" Eli asked. "Don't keep anything from me. God will punish you severely if you don't tell me everything he said."
1 Sam 3:17.

Envy actually matures to death if it is not dealt with on time! Hear what the Spirit of God says again; "Do not allow envy to take root in your heart any longer"!
I Peter 2:1

It's not about your years of experience in doing something, when God is ready to use another person, He does so without hindrance.

After all, just like the famous Hausa saying; "Sarki goma, Zamani goma". meaning "Ten Kings, Ten epochs!".

In conclusion,
"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms.
If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen".
1 Peter 4:10&12.

I pray for you: The sky is wide enough; whatever business, career or job you are doing will yield for you and you will excel in that field in the name of Jesus.

However, your connection with our Lord Jesus is pivotal to your success. The bible says: "What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?"
Mark 8:36.

Allow Jesus to take the driving seat in your life.

                        YOU ARE DESTINED FOR GREATNESS!

God said to Abram;

"Go out from your land, your relatives, and your father's house to the land that I will show you. And I will make you a great nation and I will bless you and make your name great so that you can be a blessing".
Gen 12:1&2

I have been thinking lately about what makes people great and what makes great people to be different from their contemporaries!

Suddenly, I remembered what Angel Gabriel told Zachariah concerning the birth of John the Baptist:

"For he will be great before the Lord. And he shall never drink wine and strong drink, and he will be full of the Holy Spirit even from his mother's womb".
Luke 1:15.

In other words, some people are actually born great!
Little wonder, William Shakespeare wrote:

"Some are born great, others achieve greatness".

Growing up, many of us have class mates in large numbers that some of them stood out tall in academic prowess.

However, looking at the reality of this life, greatness is not necessarily dependent on one's intelligence or brilliance. In the course of this journey of life, you will at some point hear of a relatively unknown person that has achieved greatness of some sort.

In fact, I remember while I was at the greatest University of Ibadan, studying Law. There came a time when the probability or the prospect of graduating with the best achievable Grade was beckoning at us, my room mate, would console himself with these words;

"After all, Gani Fawehinmi graduated ( Late Lawyer and Human Right Activist)with third class and he is so great today, I cannot kill my self".

Meaning, if he cannot make Second Class Upper, which was our target then, Second Class Lower division wouldn't be a bad grade after all!.

Greatness is not about being born with silver spoon or being born into a royal family, People like Pastor E. A Adeboye, Chief MKO Abiola were born very poor, yet they achieve Greatness. M K O Abiola's legacy and achievements hava been constitutionally recognised by the declaration of every June 12 as Democracy Day in Nigeria.

Children of God, greatness is different from being successful in what you do.

Many people are successful, but very few are great.

The bible makes us to understand that God had destined some of us for greatness, right from the womb. Just like He did concerning John the Baptist.

Consequently, when God is involve in your matter no Jupiter or legion of haters can stop it.

"For the LORD Almighty has purposed, and who can thwart him? His hand is stretched out, and who can turn it back?"
Isaiah 14:27.

It brings to my memory the popular Yoruba song;

Eru Olorun ba mi
Eru Jesu ba mi o
Ohun t'O ba ti pi'nu lokan Re
Ko s'eda t'o le da duro.

Interpreted to mean;

I am fearful of God, for whatever He has set His mind to do, nobody can stop Him.

In view of the above notion of predestination, it becomes worrisome when some ignorant folks sometimes try to attack or stop a man or people on a mission set by God.

King Herod, heard about the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ and he thought he could stop the manifestation of the greatness of the King of kings;
but he died soon after. Matthew 2:19&20

PRAYER In the name of the One (Jesus) that called me, anyone who is determined to stop the manifestation of what God has purposed for you and I will receive the wrath of God in Jesus name..

King Saul also tried to kill David at all cost out of envy,but he died in the process causing the death of his three children: Jonathan, Abinadab, and Malchishua.
1 Samuel;31

The bible recorded concerning David;

"This is what the LORD says: 'If you can break My covenant with the day and My covenant with the night, so that day and night no longer come at their appointed time then also my covenant with David My servant may be broken, so that he shall not have a son to reign on his throne.. ".

In other words, greatness is orchestrated by God and any mini god or man that can prevent our God from bringing to pass what He has purposed has not be born.

However, for one to achieve greatness, you will have to come out from the crowd and stand out from others for the right reasons.

Abraham did not attain the greatness until he parted ways with his fathers house and Lot in obedience to the instructions of God to him as recorded in Genesis 12:1&2.

When, Joseph was put in the prison for an offence he did not commit, he was there with all sorts of people. Genesis chapter 38-40.

Unfortunately, greatness is not written on our faces, no one could have imagined that Joseph being in the midst of criminals was going to become a Prime Minister some day.

The word of God does not fail. We need to hold on to the word of God in the journey of life. The Psalmist wrote.

"Remember your promise to me; it is my only hope.This is my comfort in my affliction, that your promise gives me life".
Psalm 119:49&50.

I reckoned that, during the course of those horrible two years Joseph spent in the prison, he would have encouraged himself with the assurances of the Dream he had twice, knowing that the prison was just a phase in his path to glory and greatness.

Nelson Mandela spent twenty seven years in prison with some other activist like himself. However; he became the first black President of South Africa and perhaps the greatest blackman ever after being released.

From all indications, a great person does not belong to the camp of mediocres either. It is just a matter of circumstance that makes an Eagle to be put together in a cage with other kinds of birds. In a process of time; the Eagle will sour higher and the difference will be clear to everyone!

PRAYER I don't know where the enemy thought they have kept your destiny, it does not matter how long or what they did to curtail your advancement, you are coming out of that limitation,debt, sickness, bondage and you will fulfil your destiny in Jesus name..

One day, just like Joseph woke up with the news that he was needed in the Palace (Genesis 41:14), some of us will wake up to the fulfilment of the spoken words of God concerning the Divine designation and greatness God as purposed. Only time will tell!

However, a person born to be great does not toy with disobedience or sin of any kind.

How did I know?

Samson was born great, (Judges 13: 3-5) but he disobeyed God and his greatness was curtailed. Judges 16.

PRAYER ; Father, whatever I will do that will affect the manifestation of the greatness you have ordained for me , do not allow me to come near such in Jesus name.

In conclusion, our Lord Jesus remains the Greatest of all. To be great and be able to sustain your greatness,you need to be connected with Him.

Tomorrow might be too late accept Jesus now!

                                      LOVE IS CRUCIAL!

Apostle Paul wrote:

"If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.If I had the gift of prophecy and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing. If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing".
1 Cor 13:1-3.

Brethren, If there is any word on the planet earth that transcends beyond race, religion, tribe and social status; it is Love.

According to the dictionary, Love encompasses a range of emotions, behaviour and beliefs associated with strong feelings of affection, protectiveness, warmth and respect for another person.

Relying on the above definition of love,one can easily infer that love is not only about what you feel towards another but also about what you do for another person"

The bible says;

"But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us".
Romans 5:8.

Interestingly, Apostle John popularly referred to as John the Beloved(the disciple that Jesus loved) wrote more about love. In one of his writings he said;

"Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth".
I John 3:18.

The essence of this message is to make us to re- examine ourselves if Indeed we are living the word of God concerning love for one another.

While Jesus was teaching, one of the Pharisees asked him a question;

"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
Jesus responded;

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”
Matthew 22:38-40

John the Beloved buttressed the words of Jesus when he wrote;

If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen".
1 John 4:20.

As à legal Practitioner, there is what we call; "Duty of Care" in the Law of Tort. It is the responsibility or the legal obligation on a person to ensure any of his acts or omissions is not likely to cause harm to others.

Similarly, believers are expected to have a "duty of care" for one another to the extent that we should be our brother's keeper.

The bible says;
"Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another".
1 John 4:11.

Jesus Christ further upped the ante when He said;

"But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For He gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and He sends rain on the just and the unjust alike".
Matthew 5:44&45.

It goes to show that love does not discriminate!

Jesus healed on a Sabbath day against the law, then the Scribes and the Pharisees challenged Him on appropriateness of performing healing on the Sabbath.

Jesus responded;
“Which one of you who has a sheep, if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will not take hold of it and lift it out?
Matthew 12:11.

The hypocrisy and foolishness of the religious leaders of the era when of our Lord Jesus Christ was on earth are not any different to what is prevalent now in the Christendom.

Self-seeking, self centredness and insensitivity to the plight of the poor are some of the bane of the present generation.

Our Lord Jesus had compassion with everybody, whether rich or poor. He even showed emotions when the occasion demanded it.

When Jesus got to the house of Mary and Matha to see Lazarus, the bible says:
"Jesus wept" (John 11:35.)

Why would you a child of God and disciple of our Lord Jesus Christ not exhibit emotions or have compassion when the circumstance calls for it.

The bible says;
"Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep".
Roman's 12:15.

Genuine Christians are not the ones that go to church regularly, neither are they the ones that are over zealous in the house of God nor the ones that sit behind the pulpit; rather they are the ones that practice what the bible teaches us.

Interestingly, love is number one among the fruit of the Holy Spirit. Galatians 5:22&23.

The bible says;

"Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other".
Romans 12:10

We inherited the name Christians today as a result of the lifestyle of the early Church, led by the Disciples of Jesus who exhibited love among everyone.
Acts 2: 45&46

However, can we say the same concerning us; the believers of this generation?

The late Indian Activist; Mahatma Gandhi answered the above question when he said;

"I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ".

Children of God, where did we go wrong?

"Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends"
1 Cor 13: 14-

Are we living together in love?

Although, Jesus is the benchmark of Christianity and He is our Standard, but many people out there do not know this Jesus,they only know You and I that are zealous about the work of God.

That's why Jesus said:

"Let your light so shine before men that they will see your good works and glorify your Father who is in Heaven".
Matthew 5:16.

The disturbing increase in cases of untimely death, depression and
suicide in the Christendom in recent times is an indication of lack of love and care amongst us.

The Psalmist wrote;

"I look for someone to come and help me, but no one gives me a passing thought! No one will help me; no one cares a bit what happens to me"
Psalm 142:4

All some people need is who to share their burden with,for words of encouragement and counselling.

The bible says;

"If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person?
1 John 3:17.

This is food for thought that we should all ponder on and examine our ways. Are we Christ like, do we have love of God dwelling in us ?

In conclusion, I beseech you above all things that you.

"Keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins".
1 Peter 4:8.

PRAYER; Father, fill our hearts with over flowing power of your love that we may love you and love our neighbours the way you love us in Jesus Mighty name.

                           THE REALITY OF HEAVEN & HELL!

While teaching the believers of old on the significance of living righteously, Apostle Paul wrote;

"God will repay each person according to what they have done. To those who by perseverance in doing good seek glory, honor, and immortality, He will give eternal life.(Heaven)but for those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, there will be wrath and fury(Hell).
Romans 2:6-8.

Few days ago, I was just reminiscing about how God has transformed my life in the last decade.

In the course of the reflection,my mind switched to the initial philosophy I once held about life. Many years back , my viewpoint about religion and life generally was more of a liberal approach.

One could liken my lifestyle then to that of Cornelius recorded in the book of Acts 10. I believed a good life was mainly about being God fearing, respectful, nice to everyone and doing good deeds. Acts 10:2.

As, I was appreciating God for the way he picked me up while I was wandering and remoulded my life for His own purpose, I began to remember some of my favourite songs about life back then. Suddenly a song by Ebenezer Obey came to my memory. The song says:

A lowo ma jaye eyin lemo
Awon to laye lana da won ti ku won ti lo...

Meaning, if you are rich and you refuse to enjoy your life, it is your loss, those people that enjoyed life years back are dead and gone!

Right there, the Holy Spirit brought to my attention the anomaly in that song.

God said to me;

Can you observe the omission in the lyrics of that song you just sang?

Then, I sang the song again and this time around the Holy Spirit revealed to me that the song did not give us specifics about the destination of those people that enjoyed their life and died after.

The song just says;

"They have died and gone! Gone to where?‍♀

Then I began to laugh, as I was eulogising the awesomeness of the Great Revealer and the Greatest Teacher of all: The Holy Spirit.

Children of God, there is no cause for debate over this matter; Heaven and Hell are real!

Jesus said;

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life".
John 3:16

Without doubt, the Christian race is not a smooth jolly race by any means.

There is a consistent battle, I mean spiritual battle against believers by the devil and his agents to quench the fervency and the fire of God on Born Again Christians, in order to populace the kingdom of darkness.

"Be on your guard and stay awake. Your enemy, the devil, is like a roaring lion, sneaking around to find someone to attack.But you must resist the devil and stay strong in your faith. You know that all over the world the Lord's followers are suffering just as you are. ".
1 Peter 5:8&9

Unfortunately and ignorantly as well, many of these agents of darkness have proliferated into the Church of God as Pastors and Ministers of the Gospel.

Don't be fooled by their mentioning of the name Jesus and shouting on top of their voices, singing and jumping all in the name of Jesus.

After all, Jesus said;

"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven".
Matthew 7:21.

So what is the will of God?

God said ;
"I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked person should turn from his way and live. Repent, repent of your evil ways! Why will you die, house of Israel?'
Ezekiel 33:11.

Repentance is the will of God for every mankind.

God expects the Church to preach repentance and evangelise more.

Any Church that only gathers people together once in a year; celebrating Global Evangelism Day has failed God!

If Pastors and Ministers of God in this generation can prioritize evangelism and follow up; creating more time in reaching out to lost souls, the situation would have been better for the Church of God.

Jesus said;

"The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few".
Matthew 9:37.

When my Lord Jesus Christ instituted the Church, he sent them out to
evangelise with the aim of winning Souls for God.
Luke 10:1-20

Our Churches need to rise up to the main task before us which is how to prepare souls for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, by feeding them with the word of God and not comedy and "nights of a thousand laugh" in the sanctuary of God.

I beseech you all, in the name of Jesus to either replicate or transfer the seriousness and the aggressiveness you put in when raising funds for the Church into evangelising and chasing after lost souls.

My Lord Jesus Christ said:

"What man among you, if he has a hundred sheep and loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the pasture and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it?"
Luke 15:4.

In other words, as members of the Church and individuals,we need to go after people that have left our Churches to either bring them back or to ensure they are still serving God where they are.

Jesus concluded the teaching by saying;

"In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven’t strayed away!"
Luke 15:7.

Your repentance is far more important to God, whether as individuals, Church or even as a Nation.

That's why God said;

"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land'.
2 Chron 7:14.

Children of God, Heaven and Hell are real, however; the choice is yours to take.

Jesus said;

"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through".
Matthew 7:13.

Come to think of it, Ebenezer Obey that sang that song more than forty decades ago have realised that there is Heaven and Hell after death.

He has since given his life to Jesus and has turned to an Evangelist; calling people to accept Christ.

Is our God not great!

If you are still living with the fallacious impression that; it is a free world and that you can enjoy your life anyhow then die after; you need to change your mindset before it's too late.

If you find yourself reading this, please take a moment to pause and ask yourself;

Where do I go after death?

I have come to inform you that your own Rapture has come once you are dead. There is no second chance again after death.

Is either you end up in Heaven with Jesus or you end up in great torment in Hell fire with the devil.

I enjoin you to make up your mind, repent now and ask for the grace to live holy before God; working out your salvation with fear and trembling.
Phil 2:12.

Tomorrow might be too late. Jesus could come at any moment and death which does not respect age and status can also come without notice!

In conclusion,
"examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves.."
2 Cor 13:5.

Obviously, many people have wandered away from the Truth; whether knowingly or unknowingly. Make effort to get them back!

"As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry".
2 Timothy 4:5.

PRAYER: Father, everything that could be an obstruction to my path to heaven, please uproot it in Jesus name. .

Don't keep this message to yourself, you will be pulling people away from the road to perdition if you share this message.

                                        THE WATCHMAN!

This message was birthed as a result of two responses I received out of more than one hundred and forty other responses I had received up til 31st of May 2019, in the wake of the last message (The Church Has Failed) God used me to prepare.

So, who is a watchman?

In the literary sense, a watchman can be defined as a a person who keeps guard over a building at night to protect it from fire, vandals or thieves.

The bible makes us to understand that a watchman is the person God equips spiritually to see what others do not see and deliver God's message and warning faithfully to those God has sent him or her to.

God said to Ezekiel;

“Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me. When I say to a wicked person, ‘You will surely die,’ and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order to save their life, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood. But if you do warn the wicked person and they do not turn from their wickedness or from their evil ways, they will die for their sin; but you will have saved yourself"
Ezekiel 3:17–19.

People like Ezekiel, Elijah, Jeremiah and Isaiah were watchmen for God in their generations. The question is; where are the watchmen for our generation?

The sensitive role and responsibility placed on a
watchman by God cannot be over emphasized. This generation needs a lot of watchmen to be sign posts at this critical time as we await the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

I had the privilege of listening to the Oath of office for the President and the Vice President of Nigeria on the Inauguration Day: the 29th of May 2019.

One can imagine how difficult it must have been for the Vice President; being a Pastor and a Politician who holds such exalted position in a "fantastically corrupt Country".

My concern for him is predicated on the choice of words and intent of the framers of the Oath the Vice President and the President took.

Part of the Oath says;

"that in all circumstances, I will do right to all manner of people, according to law, without fear or favour, affection or ill-will; that I will not directly or indirectly communicate or reveal to any person any matter which shall be brought under my consideration or shall become known to me as the Vice President".

Without doubt, those words are meant to be carried out! I just hoped the Vice President has been faithful in abiding by those words. In the end he said: So help me God".

May God Almighty continue to help him to abide by those weighty words in Jesus Mighty name.

The work of the watchman is even greater than that of the President or the Vice President because he is going to give account to God for every word and deed;

"You shall not add to the word that I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God that I command you".
Deuteronomy 4:2

This suspicious debate of; "you do not talk about the Church or rebuke men of God in public" is not Scriptural!

The bible says;
"An open rebuke is better than hidden love!"
Prov 27:5.

"The banana is getting spoiled, you said; No, it is getting ripening".
who is fooling who?

Is it the applying of insecticide on congregants and jumping on the parishioners all in the name of doing deliverance or the man lying down caressing another man's wife inside the the Church that should be commended?

Why not call a spade a spade!

It is very appalling and disgraceful for supposed men and women of God to be protecting their own names and that of their Churches to the detriment of the name of JESUS.

If you truly love this God and you are genuinely called by Him to do His work then you will speak out, in fact you will blow the whistle or trumpet when you see evil people dragging the name of our Holy God into mud by reasons of their selfish deeds.

I ask again, where are the watchmen of this generation?

Many people are dying on a daily basis without having encounter with Jesus. Some Churches do not even make Altar calls or preach repentance anymore, they only pray for mercy.

Children of God, hear me very well; when you keep quiet people go to Hell fire! Necessity is placed on you and I to speak out and save people from being destroyed.

"Remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins".
James 5:20.

We are not meant to call people into Church but call them to follow CHRIST JESUS!.

The word of God does not have an alternative in doing the work of God. Many people have allowed sentiments and human philosophy to take the place of the Scripture in assessing what is right or wrong.

However, one of the duties of the watchman is to expose people using the occult and witchcraft spirit in doing the work of God.

The bible says:

"Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them".
Ephesians 5:11.

Apostle Paul rebuked and exposed a lady using spirit of divination. Acts 16:17. He did that openly!

Although God has chosen each one of us for different distinct roles and offices, however; *we are all called as watchmen to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Mark 16:15.

You can be the watchman for your Nation,family, work place, departments and Church.

Samuel was single handedly chosen by God as a watchman for the Israelites.

God started speaking to Samuel in private, despite the presence of Eli and yet God hid everything from Eli. Come to think of it Eli was not a bad prophet after all, but his sons damaged his name by their evil deeds and Eli failed to caution them.
1 Samuel 3:1-21.

Hear me; I see "that man" destroyed the good Name and reputation his late Father left behind at the end of it all! However, for the sake of the innocent and before it gets out of hand as a result of his pride, Father arrest him in Jesus name. .

There are no two ways about it, watchmen must be very obedient.

God appeared to Abram who was a son of an Idol worshipper and God told him to leave his father's house and he obeyed God. He left for an unknown destination with his wife and Lot. Surprisingly, Sarai never questioned Abram's ability to hear God clearly as she followed him. Gen 12.

Great lesson for women of this generation to emulate.

God can use just anybody as His watchman. One of the characteristics of the watchman is that they are never economical with the truth. You will not find hypocrisy in them!

The bible says;

"Open your mouth, judge righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy".
Prov 31:9.

Watchmen are expected to guard the Truth (word of God) with all diligence and at all times. Apostle Paul said to Timothy;

"Guard what God has entrusted to you. Avoid godless, foolish discussions with those who oppose you with their so-called knowledge".
1 Tim 6:20.

Watchmen are not easily shut down. Acts 4:13. Boldness is one key attribute of watchmen. They are defiant to any opposition. Acts 5:29

If you reject them, please do not neglect their words, if you ignore their message, you do so at your own peril!

Permit me as I crave your indulgence once again and humbly inform you that I am a watchman of the Most High God; with the responsibility to speak the word of God everywhere I find myself. God said to me;

“Do not be afraid, but go on speaking and do not be silent, for I am with you, and no one will attack you to harm you, for I have many in this city who are my people.”
Acts 18:9&10.

A popular Yoruba adage says;

"You only fear the one that sends you on errands, you do not fear the one you deliver your message to".

Although; "wisdom is profitable to direct!".
Ecclesiastes 10:10.

Jesus Christ said concerning His second coming;

"Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour".
Matthew 25:13.

Finally brethren;
Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful, thankful and pray for everyone doing the work of God faithfully, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ.
. Col 4: 2&3.

Be the watchman wherever you are; standing for what is true, just and perfect will of God.

                                THE CHURCH HAS FAILED!

Children of God, I am writing this message with deep anguish in my heart concerning what goes on in the Church of God today.

My understanding and benchmark of the role and duties of the Church of God is rooted in the way the Disciples (Early Church) lived.

The Church is commonly referred to as the Body of Christ, that is people that have accepted Jesus.

The Church's role is to build and nurture believers. The Church is not the building where we meet, rather the Church is who we are, the Church is what we do, the Church is meant to reflect the image of our Lord Jesus Christ.

However, has the Church really lived up to these expectations?
Regrettably, but with a deep sense of responsibility I can categorically say that;

"The Church has failed!"

Our Lord Jesus Christ while teaching the disciples said;

"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot".
Matthew 5:13.

Jesus Christ compared us with salt perhaps for so many reasons.

I did a little research about the functions of salt and I discovered that salt purifies, it adds flavour. Salt preserves, salt also
fights unwanted ants and worms.

The bible records that;

"The men of the city said to Elisha, "Look, our lord, this town is well situated, as you can see, but the water is bad and the land is unproductive." "Bring me a new bowl," he said, "and put salt in it." So they brought it to him. Then he went out to the spring and threw the salt into it, saying, "This is what the LORD says: 'I have healed this water. Never again will it cause death or make the land unproductive.'" And the water has remained wholesome to this day, according to the word Elisha had spoken".
2 Kings 2:19-22.

In other words, salt also heals. If salt heals; we should also be of healing to one another.

However, the Church of God has easily become a subject of ridicule in the eyes of the world.

People no longer treat the Church with utmost regard and reverence we used to associate with the Church and the leadership of the Church.

While I was growing up, whenever I see anyone with a Church apparel or clergy collar, I will immediately tune to an holy mood.

I have seen some people shedding tears of remorse when they see clergy men around them.

In other words, pastors and clergy men in general, represented the symbol of holiness in those days.

In the Eighties and Nineties: the acronym; SU ( Scripture Union) was very popular among Christians. Whenever we see anyone totally devoted to the course of the Gospel of Jesus Christ then, we simply called them SU.

They lived a very modest life. Their slogan and mantra are embedded in bible verses like;

"Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you".
1 John 2:15.

There was no sign of flamboyance or extravagance in them. Their types of cars were the Volkswagen Beetle that has the tortoise back and at most Peugeot 504 of those years.

They evangelized as if their life dependent on it. One could easily tell that their motivation lies in the Scripture where Apostle Paul said;

"For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes; the Jew first and also the Gentile".
Romans 1:16.

The question now is; *Where did we go wrong?* Our God is still the same yesterday, today and forever. Heb 13:8 and the bible remains our guide up till now which has not changed.

My recent experience with the leadership of a Church triggered the writing of this message.

A young man who was a worker in a Church got a job in a neighbouring state and he notified me like other well wishers and I was happy for him. He usually comes back home from time to time to worship at the same Church.

However, In the process of time, he was seriously sick and when he had exhausted all he had in finding cure for his illness; he decided to come around to where his Church members are. At that point he was not able to walk again without assistance, strength has almost left him. With the assistance of his brother He came. He stayed with a friend who also happened to be a worker in the same Church. The house he stayed was like five minutes walking distance to where the Church building is located.

The young man needed both financial and Spiritual assistance .

I pray for you, may your expectations never be dashed in Jesus name.

When the leadership of the Church was told of his sickness, their response was that,
"He is no longer part of the Church".

When it was obvious for the young man and his brother that the envisaged assistance from the Church was not forth coming, they went back to the village where the young man died few days after.

Without doubt, the Church failed him indeed!

After the Sunday Service of the 26th of May 2019, I was invited for a meeting in the particular Church involved. My invitation came as a result of the little spiritual and financial assistance I sought for the young man from "few genuine Christians who supported him both financially and prayerfully.

In the course of the meeting, I could not believe my ears concerning the flimsy excuses of the leadership of the Church.

Stuffs like; the young man did not disclose the nature of his sickness, some said, he duped one woman of some money in the past, hence no one was willing to help him.

In fact, the pastor of the church said to everyone's hearing that;
"The young man was not part of the Church anymore".

Then I began to wonder; why did my Lord Jesus Christ taught us the parable of the good Samaritan?
Luke 10:25-37.

Out of my disappointment to what they all said; I said to them;

"If that young man was your brother or uncle would you have acted the same?"

I decided to remind them of the words of Jesus in Matthew 25:31-46 as an illustration of the obligation placed on us as the Church to cater for the lowly among us.

Jesus said:

"Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."
Matthew 25:40.

By the way, the Church of God belongs to Jesus and not any man. Matthew 16:18

Many of us in the body of Christ today have titles like; Brother, Sister Deacon, Deaconesses, Pastors etc, yet self centeredness, eye service, lip service, hypocrisy and strife are the attributes that many exhibit.

The Pastor of that Church went further;

"We will have to get a form for all members to fill now and give all of them tithe cards, so we will have record of the contributions of each person as a guide to know what to do when they come for help. Just like is being done in cooperative unions" .

I said it to myself; this must be a joke!

By the grace of God, I am going to embark on facts finding mission with the hierarchy of the Church to ascertain the veracity of the words of this Pastor.

However, even if that is their policy, I don't think any Church policy should be at variance to the word of God:Bible, which is the grundnorm (the highest law and rule) as far as Christianity is concerned.

God said to the Israelites;

"If any of your people become poor and unable to support themselves, you must help them, just as you are supposed to help foreigners who live among you.
Leviticus 25:35.

The same bible also says;

"Those who shut their ears to the cries of the poor will be ignored in their own time of need".
Prov 21:13.

Please, if you love this God, you will have to do things in the manner He wants us to live with one another, at least as far as the lowly are concerned.

Most of what our Lord Jesus preached about were about the obligation placed on us; the Church to help the poor among us.

We cannot continue to keep quiet and allow some people to drag the name of our God into mud.

In a country like Nigeria, where our politicians have perpetually failed to keep their promises, where Successive Governments have neglected the masses and there is a continuous surge in the rate of crime, poverty and unemployment.

The Church of God that should stand as the abode of solace to get both spiritual and welfare packages does not want the poor anymore.

That Pastor said; you will have to be paying regular tithe and offering before you can be considered for assistance even when the fellow is dying!

That cannot be the Church of God!

There is absolutely no where to turn to for help again if you are poor in this Nation. Little wonder the recent increase in the number of suicide cases among both the young and old even in the Church.

The Church of God is in a precarious state, that needs urgent intervention.

Prayer : Father, please come to our aid. Rescue your Church from the hands of evil people and ear the cry of the poor in Jesus name.

Finally, the Church might have failed you too, but don't be discouraged. I can assure you, based on the word of God that if every institution fails you, my Lord Jesus cannot fail you! Jesus is calling you today;

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest".
Matthew 11:28.

Please share this message everywhere you can,you might be preventing one untimely death by doing so. By the Grace of God we will not stop preaching the message of truth in spite of the hostility against it.
The Church must change!

                              YOUR AFFILIATION MATTERS!

As the saying goes;

"A man is known by the company he keeps. Good company can make a man, while bad company can ruin him".

The kind of people you keep around you have lasting effect on your reputation.

Apostle Paul wrote;

"Do not be deceived: "Bad company corrupts good morals."
2 Cor 15:33.

The contemporary English version of that verse says;

"Don't fool yourselves. Bad friends will destroy you."

There is an adage in Yoruba that says;

" Show me your friends and I will tell you the kind of person you are".

Without doubts birds of same feathers flock together, for they have things in common.

Whether we like it or not, we are influenced by the company we keep;

"A sheep that associate itself with a dog will end up eating poo"

Quite often, there are people around us that influence us negatively and affect our values, morality and decision making. In the course of your closeness with such persons, you
will discover that you have started exhibiting their traits, ultimately you will begin to reason like them.

Few days ago, I was faced with a very pressing issue concerning a fellow brethren and I took up the matter as I was led to assist him. Subsequently I also sought the assistance of some people in order to have a robust support for the fellow.

After all, my own bible tells me;

"Bear one another's burdens, and so you will fulfill the law of Christ".
Gal 6:2.

Consequently, I spoke to one person and considering the urgency of the matter at hand, I was in total dismay by his response but I was resolute that I wont be discouraged! So I proceeded to speak to another fellow and she said the same thing the first person said.

At that moment, I felt depressed as I began to reflect on what could have been the cause of such response that failed to take into cognisance the plight of the young man.

I later discovered that both persons responded based on the stand of their Mentor.

It then dawned on me, the negative effects of the company that one keeps in this life.

It is absolutely ridiculous for any adult to have lost his or her sense of judgement due to the affiliation the person has with another person.

Little wonder the bible says;

"Don't make friends with an angry person or become companion of a hot- tempered one. You might learn their habits and not be able to change.
Prov 22: 24&25.

The story of King Jehoshaphat of Judah is very instructive when it comes to choosing friends.

The bible says;
"His heart was deeply committed to the ways of the LORD"
2 Chron 17:6

Despite king Jehoshaphat's good reputation, he later joined affinity with Ahab; king of Isreal at that time.
2 Chron 18:1

Soon after,Ahab lured Jehoshaphat into an alliance to fight the Syrians and somehow, Jehoshaphat obliged to an unholy war.

"The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, "I will enter the battle in disguise, but you wear your royal robes." So the king of Israel disguised himself and went into battle.
22 Chron 18:29.

Ahab was evil, he left Jehoshaphat prone to attack but
he disguised so as to avoid being killed as Micaiah had prophesied that he might not return from the battle in peace.

When the Syrians saw king Jehoshaphat, they thought he was King Ahab, the moment they encompassed him to kill, Jehoshaphat cried out and the bible says;

"God helped him by turning the attackers away from him".
2 Chron 18:31b.

Eventually, King Ahab was killed in the battle, but king Jehoshaphat was spared.The bible says, immediately he got home;

"Jehu son of Hanani the seer (Prophet) went out to meet him. “Why should you help the wicked and love those who hate the LORD?” he asked the king. “Because of what you have done, the LORD is very angry with you"
2 Chron 19:2.

That is the consequence of a wrong affiliation!

Husband and wife are not bound to share the same opinion. They can have independent views based on the merits of each matter.

If you are so boxed up by this thing called mentoring, to the extent that you have begun to compromise your values and morals. When you have given sentiments edge over equity & fairness, in order to satisfy your Mentor or someone close to you, then you are in an evil affiliation!

As the elders would say;
"Must everyone of you sleep and face the same side"?

Nothing forbids you from having a different view from others, so far your views have regard for the word of God.

I beseech you to be very wise in the association that you keep.Avoid the company of an hypocrite or a gossip; who constantly discusses the affairs of other people.

If you are not careful they will ruin your reputation and the same way they discuss other people's affairs in your presence they will open up your own can of worms to others as well.

The bible says;
"A gossip can never keep a secret, stay away from people that talk too much".
Prov 20:19.

The affiliation you keep is important to God.

The LORD said to Abram, “Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you.
Gen 12:1.

Some people have been initiated into witchcraft and occult spirits, as a result of their ignorance and the affiliation they have with certain people.
May the Most High God deliver them in Jesus name.

"Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of mockers, but his delight is in the law of the Lord and on His law he meditates day and night".
Psalm 1:1&2.

Your affiliation with Jesus is however very important! If you are yet to give your life to Jesus, you are doing yourself a great disservice.

Jesus says;
"I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me". John 14:6.

A close relationship with Jesus is a necessity for everyone that desires to enter heaven.

The bible says;
"A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother".
Prov 18:24.

Jesus is that friend that sticks closer than a friend. Tell someone about Jesus today.

"Finally, Brothers and Sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable,if anything is excellent or praiseworthy; think about such things".
Phil 4:8.

Prayer: Father,let everyone reading this message who has been involved in any evil affiliation and presently living in bondage receive liberation both spiritually and physically in Jesus name.

                       IT'S NOT MERCY, BUT REPENTANCE!

The bible says:

"Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy".
Proverbs 28:13.

If there is any word in the Christendom today that have been abused and overly emphasized on, it is Mercy.

By the way, the word mercy can be defined as compassion or forgiveness shown towards someone whom it is within one's power to punish.

In other words, mercy is when you do not get what you deserve for the wrong committed and instead you are being pardoned.

Without doubt, one of the attributes of God is that He is a Merciful God.
Psalm 103:8.

God has the prerogative to show mercy to anyone not because the fellow deserve it, but as God pleases!

However, the mercy of God should not be taken for granted.

I have been reflecting lately on certain issues and practises that have given many people wrong impression about the Church of God.

Topics like; prosperity preaching, the seemingly obvious neglect of most churches to the plight of the poor masses, the aggressive funds raising gimmicks used by some people are top on the list of the most controversial issues that have dragged the Church of God into mockery. All of which were not seen during the era of the Disciples (the early Church).

I was somewhere lately and the preacher said:

"Whether you are righteous or not; go and obtain mercy"

Then the Holy Spirit of God spoke to me immediately, "From where?" and God went further;
“I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.”It does not, therefore, depend on human desire or effort, but on God's mercy.
Romans 9:15&16.

So, who can speak a thing and have it come to pass, unless the LORD has commanded it?
Lam 3:37.

Children of God, it will be very evil and irresponsible of anyone to assume God does not mind if you repent and forsake your sins, that you can just decree mercy and it will be granted to you. NO

"If we confess our sins, God is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:9

Although, the bible says God's mercy endures forever ( Psalm 136), but this same God is a consuming fire. ( Heb 12:29, Deu 4:24)

The high level of decadence in our society today have extended into the Church of God.

Worldly norms have found legitimacy even in churches today, because materialism have beclouded the conscience of some of the men behind the pulpit.

Topics like Righteousness, Holiness and Repentance are seldom preached in most Churches today.

The reason for being quiet about these important but neglected topics is that it avails "the wolves in sheep clothing" the opportunity to extort the unsuspecting parishioners (who rarely open their bibles) of their hard earned money or stolen loots.

I was particularly thrilled and impressed by the comments of the Vice President of Nigeria; Professor Yemi Osinbajo, when he blamed the Church for not speaking out against corruption.
He said;

"Every time that we come to church, we are told about giving. But we need to talk more about honesty. We need to talk far more about honesty. In the same way we talk about giving, we need to talk more about honesty,”

Brothers and Sisters, as a Messenger of the Most High God; with the mandate to create awareness about the reality of the 'imminent' second coming of my Lord Jesus Christ, necessity is on me to shed more light on the things required of us as we expect the coming of the Holy One.

Apostle Paul wrote;

"What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
Romans 6:1&2.

The recent events around the world, coupled with some prophecies circulating around also give credence to the reality of the second coming of Jesus christ.

If most Church leaders believe that Jesus is coming back soon, then it is imperative that the preachings emanating from our Churches must reflect the mood of the time and season that we are.

The bible says;

"Pursue peace with all men, as well as holiness, without which no one will see the Lord".

The message of end time is not mercy, it is simply Repentance!

"From that time on Jesus began to preach, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near."
Matthew 4:17.

A thorough study of the bible reveals that the word mercy appears more in the book of Psalms than almost all other books combined.

The reasons for the widespread of the word mercy in the book of psalms is not unconnected to the atrocities of king David who wrote many chapters of Psalms.

Having slept with Bathsheba; the wife of Uriah, David orchestrated the killing of Uriah in order to have his wife, thinking no one knew about it. The moment Prophet Nathan told him God will punish him, he began the crusade of mercy!
2 Samuel 11&12

Hear me people of God, holiness is a requirement for heaven;

"But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do;
1 Peter 1:15.

The campaign of mercy in most of our Churches today has allowed the Church of God to be seen as the "Den of Plea Bargaining".

Many corrupt and evil perverted souls have found solace in most churches, where they drop the blood and ill-gotten wealth in exchange of mercy; apparently not from the Holy God, but from the "wolves in sheep clothing" who have found their ways into the Church of God.

This is an aberration!

The bible says;

"The sacrifice made by the wicked is an abomination to the LORD, but the prayer of the upright is his delight".
Prov 15:8.

Brethren, I say it again, the coming of our Lord Jesus is near and the message is not Mercy but Repentance!

"The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent"
Acts 17:30.

Jesus is coming back like a thief in the night and He expects us to be prepared. Rev 16:15

The onus rest on you to repent and make ourself ready for the SOON COMING KING!

Consequently, I pray for you that; you will not be like the bus conductor, whom having filled the bus with passengers was no where to be found at the time of departure.

Some people will say; "..but no one is perfect", I often reply them;

God said: "I am God Almighty, walk before Me and be blameless"
Gen 17:1 Jesus also buttresses that in Matthew 5:48

Repentance is the word, sleep with it, wake up with it, live with the necessity placed on you to be righteous and do not hide under the "canopy of mercy".

The bible says;

"Righteousness exalts a nation, But sin is a disgrace to any people".
Prov 14:34.

As a nation and more importantly the Body of Christ, we need to make ourselves ready both in our talk and deeds.

Finally, bearing in mind, the obligation placed on me to spread the Gospel of my Lord Jesus Christ;

"I therefore, urge you, Brothers and Sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God,this is your true and proper worship.
Rom 12:1

PRAYER Father, grant me the grace to be steadfast and remain focus on you in order to be able to make heaven in Jesus name..

                                  THE GREAT PHYSICIAN!

A physician can be defined as a person who is trained in the art of healing; like the doctor or a medical practitioner.

Children of God, I don't know about you, but one of the things that have been giving me concerns lately is the high rate of death caused by sicknesses and diseases in the bodies of both the young and old of this generation. Ironically, believers are not left out of the menace.

A close study of the bible also reveals that the scourge of sicknesses and diseases is not a new development after all.

However, one of the names of the God that we serve is Jehovah Rapha: The Lord who heals.
Exodus 15:26.

The Psalmist said;
concerning God;

"He sent His Word and He healed them and delivered them from destruction"
Psalm 107:20;

Jesus is the Word (John 1:1) sent by God to heal sicknesses and diseases on earth;

"How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.
Acts 10:38.

There is no record anywhere that, Jesus was not able to heal some sicknesses or diseases.


"A vast crowd brought to him people who were lame, blind, crippled, those who couldn’t speak, and many others. They laid them before Jesus, and he healed them all".
Matthew 15:30.

Wherever Jesus went people trooped after Him to get one healing or the other.

Infact, the bible went on to say;

"Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book"
John 20:30.

The true life story of the woman with the issue of blood epitomises our Lord Jesus as the Great Physician.

"The woman had suffered much under many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was no better but rather grew worse".
Mark 5:26.

The bible says;

"The woman had heard about Jesus, so she came up behind him in the crowd and barely touched his clothes for she kept saying; if only I touch His clothes, I will be healed
Mark 5:27&28.

"Immediately the bleeding stopped, and she could feel in her body that she had been healed of her terrible condition".
Mark 5:29.

The healing power of Jesus is not restricted to Him being at a scene physically.

"When the seventy-two disciples returned, they joyfully reported to him, “Lord, even the demons obey us when we use your name!”
Luke 10:17.

The healing power in the name of Jesus was further entrenched through the disciples after Jesus ascended, confirming the promise Jesus made to them;

"Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father".
John 14:12.

Truly, the disciples lived up to the expectations and the bible has numerous records of healing done by Apostle Paul, Peter and the rest using the name of Jesus.

By extension, we as disciples of Jesus in this generation should be able to operate at the level most of the disciples did during their time.

Ironically, many people are dying daily as a result of sicknesses and diseases that seemed to have defied spiritual healing and medical science.

The question then is where did we go wrong in this generation? that people are now dying of diseases and sicknesses with very low verifiable proof of complete healing.

Obviously, we don't have answers to everything in this life, I guess that sums up the reason Apostle Paul said;

"For we know in part and we prophesy in part"
1 Cor 13:9

Meaning: Our knowledge about issues of life is limited and even the gift of prophecy reveals only part of the whole picture!

However, the words of God in Exodus 15:26 gives us a clue to what could account for our inability of healing sicknesses and diseases in the world today.

God told the Israelites;

“If you will listen carefully to the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in his sight, obeying his commands and keeping all his decrees, then I will not make you suffer any of the diseases I sent on the Egyptians; for I am the LORD who heals you.”
Exodus 15:26.

Brethren, the power in the name of Jesus has not reduced or vanished. Obviously, the problem lies in us.

For God said;

"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land".
2 Chron 7:14.

The obligation rest on us; believers to pray and abstain from sin in order to connect with God.

There is high level of decadence in our societies now.
but the bible says;

"Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people".
Prov 14:34.

The Great Physician has not changed, but we the people need to obey His words in order to experience His healing power.

PRAYER ;I decree that every sickness or disease in the body of anyone reading this message or their relatives should give way in Jesus name. .

Whether it is Spiritual healing, physical or emotional healing, Jesus is capable of them all!

The bible says;

"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds".
Psalm 147:3.

Every kind of healing that we need for ourselves and our loved ones will manifest in the name of Jesus.

                                    IT IS POSSIBLE!
God spoke, as recorded in the book of Jeremiah 32: 27;

"Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for me?

The sporting world is still basking from the euphoria of the outcome of the two champions league (football) matches (Semi finals) played last week.

The manner in which what can be termed; "the impossible" was made possible is still generating a lot of discussions across the world.

In the literary sense of it, if there is any word or phrase to describe the final outcome of the two matches, bearing in mind the odds against the two teams that eventually emerged winners; one would say; Never Give Up.

Rightly so, Muhammad Salah; the Liverpool striker who did not take part in the match due to injury put on a T Shit with the inscription: NEVER GIVE UP to encourage his team mates.

Eventually, that phrase later proved to be the source of motivation for his team mates as they put up a highly spirited display to win the match against the giant Barcelona team, with the arguably best football player (Lionel Messi)ever, on the other side.

I was prompted to prepare a sermon, out of the outcome of these football matches after I came across the tweets of the 'Man of the Match' of the match between Ajax Amsterdam and Tottenham Hotspur.

Lucas Moura, the Brazilian player put in his Twitter page a sentence credited to my Lord Jesus Christ;

"For with God nothing shall be impossible".
Luke 1:37.

Tottenham score the winning goal of the match when all hopes seemed to have faded.

God made it happened!

Some people may argue that; is our God now involved in football matches?

I will answer that in the affirmative; YES , for Jesus says;

"For where two or three come together in my name, I am there with them."
Matthew 18:20.

I watched the match again the day after and I discovered that Lucas Moura was praying in the course of the match.

After all, the bible says;

"The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much".
James 5:16b.

Without doubt, God answers prayers.

"This is the confidence that we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to His will He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of Him".
1 John 5:14&15.

Perhaps, as a result of a single player that believes in Jesus,God made it happened for his team: Tottenham Hotspur to score the third goal of the match at the last minute; a time, the supporters of the other team; Ajax were already congratulating themselves of
making the final.

By the way, out of my curiosity, I decided to search for more information about Lukas Moura; the player that scored all the three goal for Tottenham Hotspur.

Then, I found out that, he is a born again Christian and more astonishing for me is this sentence credited to him;

“I would never exchange the life of Christ for anything else”
Lucas Moura.

Children of God,
there is absolutely nothing that is impossible with our God.

Concerning Sarah, Abraham's wife at the age of ninety God said;

"Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, about this time next year, and Sarah shall have a son.” Gen 18:14.

I don't know what issue you have been going through that you have prayed, fasted and you are at the verge of losing hope that it is not possible again.

God has sent me to inform you that: IT IS POSSIBLE

If it was possible for Jesus to revive Lazarus after four days, (John 11:38-44) if it was possible for the woman with the issue of blood to get her healing by touching the helm of Jesus' garment; *(Luke 8 43-48),* then your own will not be impossible with God in Jesus name..

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever"
Heb 13:8.

Every sickness, disappointment, delay, failure at the edge of breakthrough you might have encountered is not an indication that your case is impossible.

There is no case that is beyond this God. The bible says
Concerning Jesus;

"A vast crowd brought to him people who were lame, blind, crippled, those who couldn’t speak, and many others. They laid them before Jesus, and he healed them all.
Matthew 15:30.

Keep believing in this God and do not at any stage of your life seek alternative answers apart from Jesus.

As the Lord lives before whom I stand; you will share your testimony very soon in the name of Jesus .

However, you need to be connected to Jesus first. If you are still living in sin; while hiding under the saying that; "our God is a merciful God", you are obviously the architect of your own problem.

The bible says;

"The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD, But the prayer of the upright is His delight".
Prov 15:8.

Change your ways before it's too late.

Finally, you might have done terrible things in the past and you may be thinking, may be your own case is beyond repair.

I have good news for you, the bible says;

"Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out,
Acts 3;19.

Children of God, I woke up in the middle of the night
few days ago with a song (Yoruba song) on my lips;

Aye n'reti eleya mi o 'Won n'reti eleya 'mi o L'ojo 'jumo
'Won lo ko'rawon jo o Lati pe'gan 'mi
'Won ni, 'mi o'mo ju'le adura L'ojo 'jumo
'Won ri 'mi l'ona ile adura W'a ma'n pe'gan 'mi, W'a 'lo tu tin'ulo.

Meaning; The wicked people are waiting for my downfall, they have joined themselves together because of my zeal for the work of God.

Brethren, there is nothing new under the sun. (Ecc 1:9)

As I picked up my bible in the early hours of that day, I flipped to the book of Psalm and coincidentally I found Psalm 59. Then, I began to meditate on the verses therein. I later discovered that David wrote the chapter; Psalm 59 during the days of his ordeal in the hands of Saul who had gathered men together to kill David.

We live in a world
filled with hatred and hypocrisy, where people smile at you but the intent of their heart towards you is evil.

David was a man after God's heart.
1 Sam 13:14. He was different from the rest, hence he accumulated a lot of enemies in the process and when it was becoming unbearable, David called on God and sang;

"Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul,(2×)
O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.

Children of God, do not be taken by surprise when people who used to be your good friends suddenly rise up against you in the house of God.

David experienced persecution and hatred even from his blood brothers. That's why most of the Psalms he wrote are more of prayers of petition to God to fight for him and rescue him from the hands of the oppressors.

If you are a true child of God with burning zeal for the work of God; I mean different from the usual! I want to inform you, that you will be hated!

However, the bible says;

"Every test that you have experienced is the kind that normally comes to people. But God keeps His promise, and He will not allow you to be tested beyond your power to remain firm; at the time you are put to the test, He will give you the strength to endure it, and so provide you with a way out".
1 Cor 10:13.

David trusted in God so much and God did not leave him to the enemy to devour.
Therefore, you can be sure, that same God that saw David through all the attacks in the hands of Saul will see you and I through in Jesus name.

For me,I have never doubted the protective hand of God over my life and family. God has continuously assured me of His unfailing protection in running errands for Him.

Consequently, I have bad news again for those waiting for my downfall, they will have to wait for a very long time to come; for it will not happen in Jesus name .

It's like the Yoruba adage that;

Whoever desires to see the twinkle in the eye of a crab will have to wait by the river for a long time!

Prayer. Father;
"Let the wicked fall into their own net, while I and my family pass by in safety'. in the name of Jesus. .Psalm 141:10.

Without doubt, God bears with the wicked, but not forever!

That is why He said to them;

“I called you so often, but you wouldn’t come. I reached out to you, but you paid no attention. since you neglected all My counsel and did not accept My correction,I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when terror strikes you".
Prov 1:24-26.

It is pure ignorance, for anyone to conceive the idea of recruiting people in order to fight the anointed of God. They should be ready to fight God instead!

The wicked people have forgotten that;
"One with God is a majority"
1 Kings 18:19-22.

The children of Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir also tried the gang up, when they formed an allied-alliance to fight the people of Judah and king Jehoshaphat; a man the bible says;

"The LORD was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the earlier ways of his father David. He did not seek the Baals".
2 Chron 17:3.

However, because of God's love for Jehoshaphat, the enemies ended up killing themselves.
2 Chron 20

Similarly, Haman joined forces with his wife; Zeresh and his friends against Mordecai in order to hang him. Esther 5:14.

However, God had a good plan for Mordecai. For the bible says;

"That night the king could not sleep". Esther 6:1.

As the Lord lives before whom I stand, instead of you and I to fall; the Lord Almighty will cause the helpers of our destinies to lose sleep in order for us to be honoured in the name of Jesus..

Mordecai was honoured by the king Ahasuerus for his good deed, while Haman was hanged in the gallows he had prepared for Mordecai.
Esther 7 & 8.

Every Haman and his recruits over your life and my life will fall into their own net in the name of Jesus.

The concluding part of the song says;

My God, do not forsake me. Let the wicked know that you are the Only powerful God. In their presence bless, honour and showcase your Glory through me.
Fight my battle,for this is my desire Lord.

Having God on your side is the big factor here. When you align yourself with the Defender of the helpless; you can be sure He will keep you under the shadows of His wings.

"The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even my enemies and my foes come upon me to eat up my flesh, they will all stumbled, fall and break their bones in Jesus name.
Psalm 27:1&2.
