                                  THE GREAT PHYSICIAN!

A physician can be defined as a person who is trained in the art of healing; like the doctor or a medical practitioner.

Children of God, I don't know about you, but one of the things that have been giving me concerns lately is the high rate of death caused by sicknesses and diseases in the bodies of both the young and old of this generation. Ironically, believers are not left out of the menace.

A close study of the bible also reveals that the scourge of sicknesses and diseases is not a new development after all.

However, one of the names of the God that we serve is Jehovah Rapha: The Lord who heals.
Exodus 15:26.

The Psalmist said;
concerning God;

"He sent His Word and He healed them and delivered them from destruction"
Psalm 107:20;

Jesus is the Word (John 1:1) sent by God to heal sicknesses and diseases on earth;

"How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.
Acts 10:38.

There is no record anywhere that, Jesus was not able to heal some sicknesses or diseases.


"A vast crowd brought to him people who were lame, blind, crippled, those who couldn’t speak, and many others. They laid them before Jesus, and he healed them all".
Matthew 15:30.

Wherever Jesus went people trooped after Him to get one healing or the other.

Infact, the bible went on to say;

"Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book"
John 20:30.

The true life story of the woman with the issue of blood epitomises our Lord Jesus as the Great Physician.

"The woman had suffered much under many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was no better but rather grew worse".
Mark 5:26.

The bible says;

"The woman had heard about Jesus, so she came up behind him in the crowd and barely touched his clothes for she kept saying; if only I touch His clothes, I will be healed
Mark 5:27&28.

"Immediately the bleeding stopped, and she could feel in her body that she had been healed of her terrible condition".
Mark 5:29.

The healing power of Jesus is not restricted to Him being at a scene physically.

"When the seventy-two disciples returned, they joyfully reported to him, “Lord, even the demons obey us when we use your name!”
Luke 10:17.

The healing power in the name of Jesus was further entrenched through the disciples after Jesus ascended, confirming the promise Jesus made to them;

"Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father".
John 14:12.

Truly, the disciples lived up to the expectations and the bible has numerous records of healing done by Apostle Paul, Peter and the rest using the name of Jesus.

By extension, we as disciples of Jesus in this generation should be able to operate at the level most of the disciples did during their time.

Ironically, many people are dying daily as a result of sicknesses and diseases that seemed to have defied spiritual healing and medical science.

The question then is where did we go wrong in this generation? that people are now dying of diseases and sicknesses with very low verifiable proof of complete healing.

Obviously, we don't have answers to everything in this life, I guess that sums up the reason Apostle Paul said;

"For we know in part and we prophesy in part"
1 Cor 13:9

Meaning: Our knowledge about issues of life is limited and even the gift of prophecy reveals only part of the whole picture!

However, the words of God in Exodus 15:26 gives us a clue to what could account for our inability of healing sicknesses and diseases in the world today.

God told the Israelites;

“If you will listen carefully to the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in his sight, obeying his commands and keeping all his decrees, then I will not make you suffer any of the diseases I sent on the Egyptians; for I am the LORD who heals you.”
Exodus 15:26.

Brethren, the power in the name of Jesus has not reduced or vanished. Obviously, the problem lies in us.

For God said;

"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land".
2 Chron 7:14.

The obligation rest on us; believers to pray and abstain from sin in order to connect with God.

There is high level of decadence in our societies now.
but the bible says;

"Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people".
Prov 14:34.

The Great Physician has not changed, but we the people need to obey His words in order to experience His healing power.

PRAYER ;I decree that every sickness or disease in the body of anyone reading this message or their relatives should give way in Jesus name. .

Whether it is Spiritual healing, physical or emotional healing, Jesus is capable of them all!

The bible says;

"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds".
Psalm 147:3.

Every kind of healing that we need for ourselves and our loved ones will manifest in the name of Jesus.

                            RELEASED ON 14/MAY/2019

                                    IT IS POSSIBLE!
God spoke, as recorded in the book of Jeremiah 32: 27;

"Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for me?

The sporting world is still basking from the euphoria of the outcome of the two champions league (football) matches (Semi finals) played last week.

The manner in which what can be termed; "the impossible" was made possible is still generating a lot of discussions across the world.

In the literary sense of it, if there is any word or phrase to describe the final outcome of the two matches, bearing in mind the odds against the two teams that eventually emerged winners; one would say; Never Give Up.

Rightly so, Muhammad Salah; the Liverpool striker who did not take part in the match due to injury put on a T Shit with the inscription: NEVER GIVE UP to encourage his team mates.

Eventually, that phrase later proved to be the source of motivation for his team mates as they put up a highly spirited display to win the match against the giant Barcelona team, with the arguably best football player (Lionel Messi)ever, on the other side.

I was prompted to prepare a sermon, out of the outcome of these football matches after I came across the tweets of the 'Man of the Match' of the match between Ajax Amsterdam and Tottenham Hotspur.

Lucas Moura, the Brazilian player put in his Twitter page a sentence credited to my Lord Jesus Christ;

"For with God nothing shall be impossible".
Luke 1:37.

Tottenham score the winning goal of the match when all hopes seemed to have faded.

God made it happened!

Some people may argue that; is our God now involved in football matches?

I will answer that in the affirmative; YES , for Jesus says;

"For where two or three come together in my name, I am there with them."
Matthew 18:20.

I watched the match again the day after and I discovered that Lucas Moura was praying in the course of the match.

After all, the bible says;

"The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much".
James 5:16b.

Without doubt, God answers prayers.

"This is the confidence that we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to His will He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of Him".
1 John 5:14&15.

Perhaps, as a result of a single player that believes in Jesus,God made it happened for his team: Tottenham Hotspur to score the third goal of the match at the last minute; a time, the supporters of the other team; Ajax were already congratulating themselves of
making the final.

By the way, out of my curiosity, I decided to search for more information about Lukas Moura; the player that scored all the three goal for Tottenham Hotspur.

Then, I found out that, he is a born again Christian and more astonishing for me is this sentence credited to him;

“I would never exchange the life of Christ for anything else”
Lucas Moura.

Children of God,
there is absolutely nothing that is impossible with our God.

Concerning Sarah, Abraham's wife at the age of ninety God said;

"Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, about this time next year, and Sarah shall have a son.” Gen 18:14.

I don't know what issue you have been going through that you have prayed, fasted and you are at the verge of losing hope that it is not possible again.

God has sent me to inform you that: IT IS POSSIBLE

If it was possible for Jesus to revive Lazarus after four days, (John 11:38-44) if it was possible for the woman with the issue of blood to get her healing by touching the helm of Jesus' garment; *(Luke 8 43-48),* then your own will not be impossible with God in Jesus name..

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever"
Heb 13:8.

Every sickness, disappointment, delay, failure at the edge of breakthrough you might have encountered is not an indication that your case is impossible.

There is no case that is beyond this God. The bible says
Concerning Jesus;

"A vast crowd brought to him people who were lame, blind, crippled, those who couldn’t speak, and many others. They laid them before Jesus, and he healed them all.
Matthew 15:30.

Keep believing in this God and do not at any stage of your life seek alternative answers apart from Jesus.

As the Lord lives before whom I stand; you will share your testimony very soon in the name of Jesus .

However, you need to be connected to Jesus first. If you are still living in sin; while hiding under the saying that; "our God is a merciful God", you are obviously the architect of your own problem.

The bible says;

"The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD, But the prayer of the upright is His delight".
Prov 15:8.

Change your ways before it's too late.

Finally, you might have done terrible things in the past and you may be thinking, may be your own case is beyond repair.

I have good news for you, the bible says;

"Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out,
Acts 3;19.

The bible says;

"Indeed, all who desire to live a Godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted".
2 Tim 3:12

Children of God, I woke up in the middle of the night
few days ago with a song (Yoruba song) on my lips;

Aye n'reti eleya mi o 'Won n'reti eleya 'mi o L'ojo 'jumo
'Won lo ko'rawon jo o Lati pe'gan 'mi
'Won ni, 'mi o'mo ju'le adura L'ojo 'jumo
'Won ri 'mi l'ona ile adura W'a ma'n pe'gan 'mi, W'a 'lo tu tin'ulo.

Meaning; The wicked people are waiting for my downfall, they have joined themselves together because of my zeal for the work of God.

Brethren, there is nothing new under the sun. (Ecc 1:9)

As I picked up my bible in the early hours of that day, I flipped to the book of Psalm and coincidentally I found Psalm 59. Then, I began to meditate on the verses therein. I later discovered that David wrote the chapter; Psalm 59 during the days of his ordeal in the hands of Saul who had gathered men together to kill David.

We live in a world
filled with hatred and hypocrisy, where people smile at you but the intent of their heart towards you is evil.

David was a man after God's heart.
1 Sam 13:14. He was different from the rest, hence he accumulated a lot of enemies in the process and when it was becoming unbearable, David called on God and sang;

"Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul,(2×)
O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.

Children of God, do not be taken by surprise when people who used to be your good friends suddenly rise up against you in the house of God.

David experienced persecution and hatred even from his blood brothers. That's why most of the Psalms he wrote are more of prayers of petition to God to fight for him and rescue him from the hands of the oppressors.

If you are a true child of God with burning zeal for the work of God; I mean different from the usual! I want to inform you, that you will be hated!

However, the bible says;

"Every test that you have experienced is the kind that normally comes to people. But God keeps His promise, and He will not allow you to be tested beyond your power to remain firm; at the time you are put to the test, He will give you the strength to endure it, and so provide you with a way out".
1 Cor 10:13.

David trusted in God so much and God did not leave him to the enemy to devour.
Therefore, you can be sure, that same God that saw David through all the attacks in the hands of Saul will see you and I through in Jesus name.

For me,I have never doubted the protective hand of God over my life and family. God has continuously assured me of His unfailing protection in running errands for Him.

Consequently, I have bad news again for those waiting for my downfall, they will have to wait for a very long time to come; for it will not happen in Jesus name .

It's like the Yoruba adage that;

Whoever desires to see the twinkle in the eye of a crab will have to wait by the river for a long time!

Prayer. Father;
"Let the wicked fall into their own net, while I and my family pass by in safety'. in the name of Jesus. .Psalm 141:10.

Without doubt, God bears with the wicked, but not forever!

That is why He said to them;

“I called you so often, but you wouldn’t come. I reached out to you, but you paid no attention. since you neglected all My counsel and did not accept My correction,I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when terror strikes you".
Prov 1:24-26.

It is pure ignorance, for anyone to conceive the idea of recruiting people in order to fight the anointed of God. They should be ready to fight God instead!

The wicked people have forgotten that;
"One with God is a majority"
1 Kings 18:19-22.

The children of Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir also tried the gang up, when they formed an allied-alliance to fight the people of Judah and king Jehoshaphat; a man the bible says;

"The LORD was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the earlier ways of his father David. He did not seek the Baals".
2 Chron 17:3.

However, because of God's love for Jehoshaphat, the enemies ended up killing themselves.
2 Chron 20

Similarly, Haman joined forces with his wife; Zeresh and his friends against Mordecai in order to hang him. Esther 5:14.

However, God had a good plan for Mordecai. For the bible says;

"That night the king could not sleep". Esther 6:1.

As the Lord lives before whom I stand, instead of you and I to fall; the Lord Almighty will cause the helpers of our destinies to lose sleep in order for us to be honoured in the name of Jesus..

Mordecai was honoured by the king Ahasuerus for his good deed, while Haman was hanged in the gallows he had prepared for Mordecai.
Esther 7 & 8.

Every Haman and his recruits over your life and my life will fall into their own net in the name of Jesus.

The concluding part of the song says;

My God, do not forsake me. Let the wicked know that you are the Only powerful God. In their presence bless, honour and showcase your Glory through me.
Fight my battle,for this is my desire Lord.

Having God on your side is the big factor here. When you align yourself with the Defender of the helpless; you can be sure He will keep you under the shadows of His wings.

"The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even my enemies and my foes come upon me to eat up my flesh, they will all stumbled, fall and break their bones in Jesus name.
Psalm 27:1&2.

                                  BRIDLE YOUR TONGUE!

Recently, I came across this quote;

"Wise people are not always silent but they know when to be".

As I was appreciating the wisdom of God embedded in that sentence, the word of God propped up;

"When words are many, sin is unavoidable, but he who restrains his lips is wise"
proverbs 10:19;

A deep meditation of these two sentences instilled in my heart, the significance of having full control over one's mouth; in order to be free from unnecessary issues of life.

For this reason, I
poss this question to everyone reading this message that;

Have you ever wondered which hurts the most between these two scenarios?;

Saying something then discovered later that you got it totally wrong that you shouldn't have said it and saying nothing then later feeling you should at least have said something?

An American Novelist: Orson Scott Card says;

"Among my most prized possessions are words that I have never spoken".

For me, that is wisdom!

Coincidentally, the above statement also finds credence in the word of God;

"This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says: “Only in returning to me and resting in me will you be saved. In quietness and confidence is your strength.. "
Isaiah 30:15.

Brethren, growing up I had formed an habit of listening to the Elders a lot. This has developed the ability to think deeply before opening my mouth.

One of the greatest Yoruba adages of old also says;

Words of mouth are like eggs, once they drop they cannot be recovered again!

Consequently, if there is any virtue one should learn in life, it is the ability to keep quiet when necessary.

I tell you Brothers and Sisters, there is real comfort in keeping quiet. It is not everything in your head that needs to be said.

Apparently, the tongue, though one of the smallest part of the body has the capacity to ruin the whole body. That's why the bible gives us an idea of the adverse effects of the tongue;

"The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one's life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell".
James 3:6;

However, silence cannot be misquoted; that is the reason the law enforcement agents; Police, when they are about to arrest anyone will say the caution statement;

“You do not have to say anything. But, it may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned something which you later rely on in court. Anything you do say may be given in evidence.”

If one reconciles the Police"s caution statement with words of our Lord Jesus Christ which says;

"I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”
Matthew 12:36&37.

Then one will appreciate the necessity, to at least think deeply before opening the mouth to talk.

Consequently, it's advisable for us as believers to know how to listen more than we talk;

"Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger"
James 1:19.

However; "for every general rule, there is an exception".

God said;
"This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night.....".
Joshua 1:8.

In contrast, The word of God is meant to be spoken regularly! It supersedes all laws and rules.

The word of God sharpens our destinies. When the devil came tempting Christ;
Jesus replied him;

"It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"
Matthew 4:4.

Meanwhile, you can only speak what you know. That informs the need to cultivate the habit of meditating on the word of God and knowing the right word to apply to every situation in our lives.

Remember; "For with the heart one believes and is justified and with the mouth one confesses and is saved".
Roman's 10:10

                           THE GOD OF SECOND CHANCE!

The Psalmist said concerning God;

"The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love".
Psalm 103:8

Without doubt, our God is full of compassion and mercy. God is very tolerant with us. Little wonder,one of the Fruit of the Holy Spirit is patience.
Galatians 5:22.

That informs the reason God said;

"I don't want wicked people to die." declares the Almighty LORD. "I want them to turn from their evil ways and live.
Ezekiel 18:23.

The story of Moses is one of the most intriguing bible stories that epitomizes the trait of God as God of Second Chance.

The bible says after Joseph and all his Brothers with all that generation died; Exodus 1:6

Then a new king, who knew nothing of Joseph, came to power in Egypt".
Exodus 1:8.

Consequently, the narratives changed for the Israelites and all the privileges they were enjoying by reason of Joseph being a one-time Prime Minister suddenly vanished.

Moses was born in Egypt at a time, when there was a prevailing decree of a new Pharaoh that; every boy child of Jewish descent shall be killed.

However, in a miraculous way God kept Moses by using Pharaoh's daughter; who should have been the one to fast track the killing of a Jewish boy.

What a wonderful God we serve!

While other boys that were born during that era were being killed in
cold blood in line with the evil decree of Pharaoh; Moses enjoyed immunity despite being a Jew because he was adopted by Pharaoh's daughter.
Exodus 2:5-10.

In other words, Moses; a jew was raised in the palace of Pharaoh despite the prevailing death penalty for every male child of Jewish descent.

How great is our God?

Meanwhile, growing up under Pharaoh, Moses had the opportunity to use his influence as the Palace boy to rescue his people; the Jews, but he did it in a forbidden way by shedding blood of an Egyptian.

The bible says; When Moses has grown to be a man under Pharaoh, he went out one day and saw an Egyptian beating a Jewish man.

When he thought no one was looking, he killed the Egyptian, not knowing someone saw him and the news broke out to Pharaoh, then Moses fled for his life and went to dwell in the land of Midian.
Exodus 2:11&15.

He became a fugitive but a day came and the God of Second Chance decided to forgive him of his atrocity. ( who can forgive sins but God) Mark 2: 7.

After forty years of running away from that new Pharaoh, God appeared to Moses and sent him back to Egypt after the death of that Pharaoh in order to fulfill his purpose;

"Therefore, go! I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring My people, the Israelites, out of Egypt.”
Exodus 3:10

Brethren, at the Second Chance handed to Moses by God, Moses fulfilled purpose!

I pray for you and for myself, Since no one can stop the Sun and the Moon from coming out? No one will be able to stop you and I from fulfilling our destinies in Jesus name.

God has set aside Moses for that task even before he was born, hence God had to give him the Second Chance in order for him to get it right.

I pray for you and for myself again, that day of Glory the Lord Almighty has orchestrated ahead of time, concerning you and I will come to fruition in the name of Jesus..

Moses obeyed God's instructions the second time and he was able to get the Israelites out of Egypt by following the leading of God.
Exodus Chapter 3- 14

The popular saying; "Once bitten twice shy" should not be disregarded.

I say to you in the name of the Holy One that called me; don't follow the path that you have taken before and did not come out good for you!

In conclusion,the bible says;

"When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned".
Roman's 5:12.

In order to redeem mankind, God gave us the Second Chance through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Everyone was under the bondage of sin until God, who so loved the world;

"Gave His Only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life".
John 3:16.

Brothers and Sisters, do not be deceived; there is no other chance besides the Second Chance provided for us through our Jesus Christ.

If you fail to receive Jesus into your life before death or Jesus' Second Coming; which ever comes first, then there is no other chance again!

Repent now! so that you will not run out of time.

Hence, every moment of our lives is like the Second and the Last Chance to make amends where necessary; don't waste it! .

May you and I not miss heaven in the name of Jesus..

"But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth".
Col 3:8.

                               JESUS IS NOT A PROPHET!

Today being the very last day in the month of April 2019, a month we had observed and celebrated the death and the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ;

I feel strongly in my Spirit man about how imperative it is, that we throw light on the persona/identity of our Lord Jesus Christ ,for the sake of people that do not have good understanding of who JESUS IS.

The bible says;

"For there are Three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these Three are One".
1 John 5:7.

In other words, we have Three God in One and they have all co-existed from the beginning.

That's why we sing that song;

Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning our song shall rise to Thee;
Holy, Holy, Holy, Merciful and Mighty!
God in three Persons, blessed Trinity!

Jesus is not a prophet! He only came into this world as a man for the redemption of mankind.
Matthew 20:28

Perhaps, it is for the purpose of correcting fallacies that exist in the head or mind of some ignorant folks that made Jesus to say;

“To whom will you compare me? Who is my equal?” asks the Holy One".
Isaiah 40:25.

In order to know who Jesus really is, we need to explore and meditate on the word(bible) of God.

Be my guest as we study Matthew 16; where Jesus asked His disciples a question;

"Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?"
Matthew 16:13.

Then the disciples said; "Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
Matthew 16:14.

Jesus must have been disappointed in the response of the disciples. So He asked them further;

"Who do you say that I am?" Matthew 16:15.

Then Simon Peter answered and said;

"You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God."
Matthew 16:16.

Hearing what Peter said; Jesus responded swiftly;

"Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. I also tell you that you are Peter, and on this Rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it." Matthew 16:17&18.

So, it is possible for one to be calling on the name of Jesus and yet does not know Him.

It is however an aberration for anyone to refer to JESUS as the "last prophet!" He is not even a prophet; rather He makes prophets;

"Christ chose some of us to be apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers".
Eph 4:11.

The experience of Jesus with Simon Peter highlighted in
Matthew 16:17&18 forms the genesis of the Church; which is the assembly or congregation of believers who form the body of Christ.

In another instance in the bible, some Jews were questioning the audacity of Jesus concerning His teachings, so they said to Him;

"Are you greater than our father Abraham? He died, and so did the prophets. Who do you think you are?" John 8:53.

What an irony of life, His own people do not have good understanding of who HE IS!

I say it for the umpteenth time; my own Jesus is not a prophet!

The following are just some of the attributes of Jesus;

✅JESUS is God.
John 20:28.
✅JESUS is Lord.
Matthew 22:44
✅JESUS is the Word. John 1:1
✅JESUS is the Messiah. John 4:25&26.
✅JESUS is the Alpha and Omega; first and the last.
Rev 1:8.
✅JESUS is the Saviour.
1 John 4: 14
✅JESUS is the Light of the world. John 8:12.
✅JESUS is the Lamb of God. John 1:29.
✅JESUS is the Mediator.
1 Timothy 2:5.
✅JESUS is the Bread of Life. John 6:35.
✅JESUS is the Holy One of God. John 6:69.

More importantly,
✅JESUS is the Way, the Truth and the Life; no man can get to God; the Father except through Him. John 14:6.

If you love Jesus; please just use five minutes to worship Him; Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah!!!

In conclusion, I enjoin you Brothers and Sisters;

"Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ".
Colossians 2:8.

                       ARE YOU FOR GOD OR AGAINST HIM?

By the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, I had finished preparing this message few days ago, as I was just waiting to release it today: 27th of April 2019.

Meanwhile, I went for Bible Study on the 23rd of April 2019 and in the course of the Service, an elderly man (stranger) walked in and being an interactive Class the man began to make contributions with so much audacity that could not be ignored or queried.

What struck me mostly was his final address. Having rightly summarized the teaching of the day, he ended the Service by saying; "Believers are not called to keep quiet when they see things go wrong where they are for the sake of not wanting to annoy the person in charge"

There was no obvious reason for him to say that, for it does not pertain to the topic of the day.

However, for me, it was just a confirmation of a man who was prompted by the Spirit of God.

For this reason, there is no better time or assurances that I need to emphasize on the responsibility and obligation of every true believer in protecting the sanctity of the Church of God as I had prepared in this message.

When it comes to the Work of God, the Word of God is very clear;

"Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them!" Eph 5:11.

Anyone truly called into the Work of God should know that his/her primary duty is to uphold the tenets of the Faith that we profess.

After we have given our lives to Jesus who defeated the devil on the Cross, ( Col 2:15) we have been enlisted into the Army of God to fight, not with guns and swords but a Spiritual battle; engaging in consistent prayer, relying on the Word of God and evangelising with the aim of winning souls for God.
2 Tim 2: 3

When God wanted to destroy the prophets of baal, He prepared Elijah and Elijah took up the responsibility!

Having a duty of necessity is not a burden, but is about taking up the responsibilities of your calling.

For me, a duty of necessity is placed upon me as an humble Child of God; called into the work of God by the Owner (JESUS) who anointed me with the 'sacred oil'; that I should react wherever I hear or sees anything that is contrary to the teachings of God wherever I am.

I cannot pretend that it does not concern me.

Everyone is expected to exhibit some level of discipline and commitment to their vocation. How much more something pertaining to the Work of God; the Creator of the heaven,the earth and all that dwell in them.

When Apostle Paul (the least of them) noticed that Peter was doing things contrarily, he opposed him to his face. Gal 2:11.
He went further;

"When I saw that they were not following the truth of the Gospel message, I said to Peter in front of all the others, if you, though a Jew, live like a Gentile and not like a Jew, how can you force the Gentiles to live like Jews?” Gal 2:14.

Consequently, being an Ambassador and a citizen of heaven, committed to the Work of God on earth;

I have pledged my entirety to the One and Only True God and to His work, to be faithful loyal and honest to serve God with all my strength ( but I confess my strength is little; so I will need a lot more of His strength) to defend His Work and uphold His Word to the letter, doing all by the Grace of God; the Father of my Lord Jesus Christ.

It is essential for us to balance the scriptures and stop taking the word of God in isolation in order to flourish in our personal agenda or showing an indication of someone working against God.

Truly, Jesus Christ said concerning the weeds and the wheat;

"Let both grow together until the harvest. Then I will tell the harvesters to sort out the weeds..."
Matthew 13:30.

However, this same God gave clear instructions in
Deuteronomy 18:9-12.

God also commissioned the likes of Elijah, Ezekiel and Jeremiah giving them clear terms of engagement;

"I have set you this day over nations and over kingdoms, to pluck up and to break down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant.” Jer 1:10.

There are no two ways about this matter; is either you are for JESUS or you are against Him!

It is very disrespectful in my opinion for anyone doing the work of God to indulge glaring deviations, lapses or the occult and witchcraft people that have proliferated in the Work of an Holy God.

God says;
"So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.
Rev 3:16

Hear me, as I humbly announce to you that the Lord of Host prepared me and has sent me in the order of Elijah and Jeremiah.

To inform everyone, working against God or having a part in the works of darkness in the Church that I worship, family, my Father's house, my Mother's house, my wife's family, friends and neighbours;

That if you do not desist, the The Defender of the Truthful will deal with you, disgrace and expose you for the world to shame.

"You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord's table and the table of demons".
1 Cor 10:21.

However, if you are for God, this is what the Lord says to you.

"Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all .He will keep all your bones and not one of them will be broken."
psalm 34:19&20.

Brethren, You can play "Church", but you cannot play this God!

The bible says;
".. The Lord knows those who are His, and let everyone who calls on the name of Christ turns away from wickedness.
2 Tim 2:19.

Truly, our God is a God full of mercy and compassion, but at the same time, He is a consuming fire!
Heb 12:29

Hear what He says;

"Listen to me and make up your minds to honor my name,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, “or I will bring a terrible curse against you. I will curse even the blessings you receive. Indeed, I have already cursed them, because you have not taken my warning to heart".
Malachi 2:2.

By the way, at the end of the Bible Study of that day; the "man of God" came to me and introduced himself as one of the Elders(Pastor) of the Church in the Region.

Perhaps, you are on the other (wrong) side, God is still waiting for you to repent. Ezekiel 18:32

In conclusion, my Brothers and Sisters, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring that person back,consider this: whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and cover over a multitude of sins".
James 5:19&20.

                              YOU DON'T NEED THE POOL!

The bible says;

*"Is any among you afflicted? let him pray".*
James 5:13.

On the 15th of April 2019, very early in the morning; I was having our usual morning prayer session with my family.

After all, I have declared it time and time again that:

*"As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord".*
Joshua 24:15.

Usually, we study the Word of God before praying and it is our practice to use the "Open Heavens" devotional as a guide.

While my wife was reading the message of that day and she got to the part about how the man at the pool of Bethseda waited for thirty eight years; suddenly God spoke to me clearly;
*You don't need the Pool!"*

I stood up immediately and I looked for a paper and pen as I wrote down the sentence.

Few days ago, the Holy Spirit reminded me of the sentence,so I decided to prepare a sermon out of it.

*My knowledge emanates from nothing else but from the Most High God, so I rely solely on the revelation of God's words that I get through the Holy Spirit.*

Although; I have read the story of the man at the Pool of Bethseda: (John 5:1-9),on many occasions, but I decided to study it again, for perhaps God wants me to hear new revelations from the story.

The bible records that there was a Pool in Jerusalem in which great multitudes of people needing healing of all sorts usually wait for the moving of the water.

Then, I was astonished by the reports in verse 4 which says:

*"For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and agitated the water: whoever then first after the stirring of the water stepped in, was cured of whatever disease he had".*
John 5:4.

In otherwords,it was a *seasonal 'healing conference'* if you permit me to use that phrase.

The above passage got me thinking a lot! Obviously, the man has been going to Bethseda in search of a miracle year after year; just like Hannah was going to Shiloh
*1 Sam 1.*

Then I remembered the Yoruba adage that says;

"What usually takes you to Sokoto (a State in the Northern part of Nigeria is actually in the pocket of your sokoto (Yoruba name for trousers).

Meaning, you have what you need very close to you, yet you did not realise it as you are fond of exploring around in search of miracles.

The Psalmist says;

*"The LORD is close to all who call on Him, yes, to all who call on Him in truth".*
Psalm 145:18.

As a young man back in the nineties, I had followed my late mother to the mountain for prayers on few occasions.

Going back to the same mountain about seven years ago, I discovered that certain faces I knew back then are still very much present on the mountain after about twenty years.

*My experience of the belief and attachment that some people have with going on the mountain to pray gives me an idea of the mentality behind the ordeal of the man at the pool of Bethesda.*

If someone was telling me the story of the man for the first time and if the narration gets to the point where the bible says Jesus asked the man;

*“Do you want to be healed?”*

I would have tried to complete the story by saying; Jesus must have helped him to get into the pool eventually!

*The man had strong conviction that his healing lies in him being able to get into the pool,but he was wrong!*

Apparently, the man did not need the Pool, he only needed Jesus.

*The Omnipresent nature of the God that we serve is very awesome.*

The same God that appeared to Moses ( Exodus 19) and Elijah (1 Kings19:11) on different mountains appeared to Gideon by the Oak( Judges 6) and to Paul on the Road
(Acts 9).

Our God is everywhere, He answers prayers at the mountain. He also came to the rescue of Paul and Silas while praying and praising Him in prison.
*Acts 16:25-34*

Brethren,what is your own Pool that you so much believe will grant you the needed breakthrough, healing or deliverance?

It might not be a Pool like that of the man, it could be a mantle, a thing or person ( Pastor) or
going from one mountain to another church and vice versa.

The Samaria woman by the Jacob's well said to Jesus;

*"So tell me, why is it that you Jews insist that Jerusalem is the only place of worship, while we Samaritans claim it is here at Mount Gerizim, where our ancestors worshiped?”*
John 4:20.

Then my Lord Jesus answered her;

*"But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him".*
John 4:23.

*I tell you what, there is no power in any other neither is there solution elsewhere but in the name of Jesus.*

As for me, I got my liberation from the bondage of going from one place to another the day I came across these two scriptures, Ecclesiastes 11:6 which says;

*"In the morning sow your seed, and at evening withhold not your hand, for you do not know which will prosper, this or that, or whether both alike will be good".* and

John 3:27;

*“No one can receive anything unless God gives it from heaven".*

A close meditation on these two verses of the scripture portrays the same connotation. That everything depends on the *prerogative of God.*

Why then do I need to be going from one place to the other when I have the instruction of the only God that says;

*"Pray to me in time of trouble. I will rescue you, and you will honor me".*
Psalm 50:15.

Invariably, you do not necessarily need to go to the mountain before your prayers are answered. *All you need is JESUS.*
*Phil 2:9-11.*

*I am not of the opinion that going to pray on the mountain or Camps are bad. Your connection with Jesus is far more important though!*

It was the quest for 'power' and quick solution that made some people to come in contact with the wrong person(s) who lured them into the tent of the devil.

Some of those people ended up getting what they wanted but the modus operandi of the demonic world is that;
*"they give with one hand but take back with the other hand".*
*Be warned.*

In conclusion, you need to make conscious effort and also pray for the Grace to be *far from sin.* Isaiah 59:1&2.

Jesus told the man by the pool of Bethesda;

*"See, you are well again. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you"*
John 5:14.

My prayer for you and for myself is that, whatever issue that will make us to lose faith in the *potency* of the name of Jesus, Father, let such issue not happen to me or any member of my family in Jesus name.

                                      THE EMPTY TOMB

Relying on the records of the bible regarding the timing of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ;one can be guided to say Jesus was crucified on a Friday; popularly referred to as *"Good Friday"* a day that is set aside by custom to recognize the crucifixion of Jesus Christ across the world.

Meanwhile, I believe it is important that we shed some light on the significance of referring to that "sorrowful day" our Lord Jesus was crucified as 'Good Friday'.

As a young Christian, I used to wonder what makes the Friday, a good day despite the events of that day on Jesus.

Then, growing up in the Lord, I scrutinized the words of my Lord Jesus, when He said;

*“I am the Resurrection and the Life. Whoever believes in Me, though he die, yet shall he live".*
John 11:25.

Jesus Christ made the above statement after Lazarus died and was buried for four days, Indicating to the world who He is and perhaps preparing their minds about His crucifixion and Resurrection.

In otherwords, as horrible as the events of the Friday Jesus was crucified might seemed, a thorough evaluation and study of the events and the prophecies concerning Jesus, alluded to the fact that Jesus had to be crucified to fulfil prophecies and more importantly that crucifixion usually precedes resurrection.

*For me, It's good Friday because it was a day Jesus paid the ultimate price that you and I might receive life.*

However, for the purpose of this write-up, It was a Good Friday for the reason that the day provided the medium for us to receive the *greatest joy* of seeing an *Empty Tomb* which is very pivotal to our belief as Christians.

Consequently, the message of today is premised upon the *significance of the Empty Tomb to humanity.*

As Apostle Paul rightly wrote;

" *The Jews demand signs and Greeks seek wisdom".*

The brutality and the shameful manner in which Jesus was crucified must have cast aspersions on the mind of the disciples and followers of Jesus Christ at that time, which made all the men amongs them to go hiding after the crucifixion for the fear of being killed.

Jesus Christ had given the disciples clues to the *signs* of His death and resurrection in many instances.

Jesus went into the Temple in Jerusalem and chased out everyone doing buying and selling away from the Temple.

The Jews were rattled by His action, hence they challenged Him and asked;

*"What sign can You show us to prove Your authority to do these things?”*
John 2:18.

Remarkably, our Lord Jesus answered them;

*“Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up again.”*
John 2:19.

Obviously, Jesus could not have been referring to the physical structure of the temple; No one can pull down a big structure and rebuild it in three days.
Jesus was telling them about His death and resurrection

For the bible says;

*"But He was speaking concerning the temple of His body.*
John 2:21.

In another instance, the Scribes and the Pharisees asked Jesus of signs to prove His authority. Jesus responded;

*"For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth".*
Matthew 12:38- 40.

Again, Jesus was referring to the events of His crucifixion and resurrection that will happen within three days.

The bible went on to say that, after Jesus had instituted the *"Church"* with the disciples;

*"Jesus began to tell his disciples plainly that it was necessary for him to go to Jerusalem, and that he would suffer many terrible things at the hands of the elders, the leading priests, and the teachers of religious law. He would be killed, but on the third day he would be raised from the dead".*
Matthew 16:21.

Permit me to lay much emphasis on the word; 'plainly'. Jesus was always talking in parables before then as indicated in the two instances captioned above.

*I perceived strongly that Jesus talked plainly in order for the disciples to be conversant with the reality of the events that will precede his death and resurrection.*

Brethren, the generation that we live in now is not any different from that which existed during the years of Jesus' ministry on earth.

*We always seek for wisdom, proofs and signs in order to believe what we have been told.*

That brings us to the crux of this message; The bible says Joanna, Mary Magdalene,Mary the Mother of James and some other women went to the sepulchre and noticed the stone has been rolled away.

They entered in and found an *Empty Tomb*.

There after, the bible says they saw two men in shining garment who told them Jesus had risen just as He told them before He was crucified;

*"The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and on the third day rise again".*
Like 24:7.

Hearing what the two men said, the women remembered the words of Jesus and *ran* to tell the remaining disciples.

*"But the apostles thought that what the women said was nonsense, and they did not believe them".*
Luke 24:11.

*The news brought out the disciples from their hiding place, as they went to confirm if indeed there was an Empty Tomb.*

✅The *Empty Tomb* is a testament to the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

✅The *Empty Tomb* is what gives us the *Hope and the assurances of life after death; confirming the triumphant victory of Jesus over death.*

✅The *Empty Tomb* is an attestation for the fulfilment of the prophecy of Jesus highlighted in *Luke 24:7*.

✅The *Empty Tomb distinguishes Jesus from other prophets of old and new. He is the Saviour of the world; The messiah!*

✅In conclusion, the *Empty Tomb* further affirms *the reality of the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.*

Therefore, the onus is now on us; believers, to make ourselves ready for the second coming of Jesus Christ.

Make conscious efforts this weekend to win souls for God in commemoration of the Resurrection and the significance of the *Empty Tomb.*

At the end, Jesus appeared to the Disciples as; *"He did eat a piece of a boiled fish and of an honeycomb before them".*
Luke 24:42&43.

The bible says; as He parted from them into heaven; *"They worshipped Him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy.*
Luke 24:51&52.

*Therefore, I beseech you to allow the Joy of the Risen Christ to continue to fill your hearts, even as you persist in meditating on the Word of God, praying and praising God in Jesus name.*

                                   THE PLOT AGAINST HIM 
The bible says;
 *"Now the Passover and the Festival of Unleavened Bread were only two days away, and the chief priests and the teachers of the law were scheming to arrest Jesus secretly and kill him".* Mark 14:1

It is Easter week: *the most remarkable season in the affairs of  mankind in my opinion.*

Easter season is the reason behind the *Hope* we profess as Christians and the unwavering *Faith* that we have in our Lord *Jesus Christ.* 

In order for me to experience the impact and the significance of this season, I decided to have an in-depth study of the events that preceded the arrest and the crucifixion of my Lord Jesus Christ.

*Brethren, because they plotted against Jesus; you can be sure they will plot against you and I since we are different from them, but they will fail in Jesus name*.

I don't understand how people feel good within themselves, when they know they do not have any legal ground to accuse someone of any wrong doing; yet they form alliances for plotting and scheming against an innocent child of God.

When Jesus came to the world; He said; 

 *“I am the Light of the world".* 

Obviously, light and darkness are two extremes, *they cannot be friends for the obvious reasons.* Envy and hatred later set in for the Scribes and the Pharisees.

 *It is not surprising even these days to see 'worldly  Christians' who are more worried about those exposing evil than the evil being exposed.*

The religious leaders in those years enjoyed a highly privileged status, just as we have now. Hence they were rattled when they saw the simple but effective ministry of Jesus which came free of unnecessary protocol. 

Consequently, they said; *"If we allow him to go on like this, soon everyone will believe in him"*
John 11:48.

They devised a *plot* to quietly arrest and kill the *King of Glory.* 

I pray for you and for myself; *anyone or group of people who had formed an alliance(s) in order to stop or terminate the good works God is using us to do will experience the wrath of God in the name of Jesus* .

Prior to the arrest of Jesus Christ, he had instructed the disciples to buy swords;

*"..he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.* 
Luke 22:36.

Unknown to the disciples,(Peter) the swords were not to be used as a weapon of war, rather Jesus only told them to buy swords in order to fulfil a long standing  prophecy of Prophet Isaiah concerning the arrest of Jesus.
 *Isaiah 53:12.* 

This is evidently highlighted in *Luke 22:37.* 

Eventually, they arrested Jesus and He yielded to them without hindrance in order to fulfil His own prophecy;

 *"For the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve and to give His life as a random for many".* 
Mark 10:45

 *They found no fault in Him to justify a death sentence, yet Pontius Pilate was coerced, hence he ordered the  killing of Jesus and his soldiers mocked Jesus. They flogged Him and made Him to carry the Cross in agony; nailing Him to the Cross at Calvary.* 

Jesus endured the pain and He despised the accompanying shame because of the Glory that was waiting for Him at the end.
 *Heb 12:2.* 

Jesus being God and part of the *Trinity( God The Father, The Son & The Holy Spirit)* did not make Himself equal with God, but He lowered Himself to be an ordinary man on earth. *Phil 2:6.*

He took upon Himself the sins of the whole world, that we might be free. He became poor for us to be rich.
 *2 Cor 8:9* 

I don't know what you are going through now, but the *Power* that  raised Jesus up after crucifixion will quicken your mortal bodies in the name of Jesus.

Brethren, it is in times of trials and persecution that you will start noticing those people who have hated you for a long time. *They will manifest their true colours* in the process. 
Some of your "trusted friends" will deny you just like Peter denied Jesus.

Don't be surprised when it happens. They are 
*Hypocrites!* as alluded to by our Lord Jesus.

In conclusion, the bible says;

*"None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory".* 
1 Cor 2:8 

*Similarly, in this era; a good knowledge of the Word of God  with perhaps the  benefit of hindsight; should have cautioned anyone not to conspire with others or attack you and I for doing the work of God.*

Yet; they got carried away with the cliche of their titles and position!

I beseech you all not to allow yourselves to be distracted by their *plot and attack*. Focus mainly on the task and assignment God handed over to you. 

Remember, you only fear the God that sent you and not those you are sent to!;

 *“Don’t be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot touch your soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both soul and body in hell".* 
Matt 10:28.

More importantly, *strive* that you maximize the opportunity and the *Grace of God* available to us by reason of this *Easter* season through our Lord Jesus Christ.

His arrest, trials, agony, death and resurrection will not be in vain over our lives in Jesus name.
